Dog Company Friends and Family,

There has been an unexpected change in our schedule for Turning Green due to weather issues and facility availability across the installation.

We apologize in advance if this causes any inconvenience. You will shortly be receiving a phone call from your Trainees with the updated information below, but still please read this post in its entirety for all changes.

Below is the UPDATED timeline of events for Friday, 30 January:

1100 - Arrival time for Family Brief at Regimental Chapel
1115 - Family Brief begins
1145 - Families move to bleachers on Pomeroy Field
1200 - Turning Green Ceremony begins

Trainees that are eligible for their Turning Green pass and have completed all necessary Basic Combat Training requirements will be allowed to leave on pass immediately following the conclusion of the ceremony. Those that are not eligible will be allowed 30 minutes with their families on Pomeroy Field after the ceremony.

*PASS INFORMATION*
Those on pass are authorized to stay in the Columbus Area ONLY from the end of the Turning Green Ceremony until 1900 Sunday, 01 February. All Trainees will spend Sunday night at the Company.

Trainees will STILL have the opportunity to utilize an ON-POST PASS on Monday, 02 February but will now be from 0800-1900. Trainees with family members or friends still in the area may spend the day with them. All other Trainees will still be afforded this pass. More specific information and answers to any questions will be provided during the Family Brief.

As mentioned in the Welcome Letter, it is highly recommended that you download the GuideOn app prior to arrival to Fort Benning. The app is available on both the Anroid and Apple stores. It will be able to give you directions to all locations during Turning Green.

New Family and Friends of Dog Company, 1-19 IN, welcome to the team! Here, we will post updates on training, photos, and information regarding Turning Green, Turning Blue, and Graduation.

We received your Soldiers as they conducted the 1st 100 Yards, where they were formally introduced to the Infantry and executed their first mission. They were challenged physically, mentally, and drilled on the importance of teamwork.

Over the course of the next 18 weeks, our Drill Sergeants will mold them into confident, capable, and lethal Indirect Fire Infantry Soldiers
Please note that anything that is not on this page is a scam. This is the only social media page we are running.

Please be on the lookout for a Welcome Letter in the mail that your Trainees have sent home that will contain more information on OSUT and specifics on future events. There will also be a letter from our Brigade Commander with important information regarding Holiday Block Leave that will be coming up soon.

Check back here regularly to follow the Trainees prgression through OSUT and to be aware of any updates as things can change throughout the cycle.

Dog Company, 1-19 IN has had a packed and productive week of training.

In the last few days trainees have qualified with their M4 rifles while wearing M50 CBRN masks, and successfully navigated both hand gr***de familiarization and the Hand Gr***de Qualification Course. These events demand focus, discipline, and confidence under pressure—and Dog Company delivered.

Now, they move into Combat Lifesaver (CLS) Week, where they’ll begin learning critical lifesaving medical skills every Soldier must know.

Families and friends, your Soldiers are rising to the challenge.
