Training Update:

The last several weeks have been exceptional here at Easy Company.

Your Soldier is on the cusp of becoming an Infantryman. Since our last update your Soldier has completed Urban Rifle Marksmanship, Urban Operations, Urban Live Fire, Shoulder Launched Munitions, familiarization with the MK-19 and M2 .50 caliber machine gun. They also conducted the Hammer Skills Assesment and qualified again with their personally zeroed M4 during RM21. Last week they were familiarized with several Mounted Platforms before celebrating Thanksgiving and this week is their Culminating event, their Field Training Exercise. Early Saturday morning your Solider will become an Infantryman at Honor Hill.
I'll be posting pictures from all of these events along with Graduation information following this post.

Training Update: 17-21 October, 2023.

Combat Life Saver Week

Your Soldier is now one step closer to being an Infantryman. Classes began on Monday and continued through Wednesday. The practical exercise was Thursday and their written test was on Friday. I can proudly say that every Soldier of Easy Company completed their training and they are now Combat Life Saver Certified. Congratulations Soliders and a job well done!

Next week's training events are Enhanced Team Live Fire and Electronic Simulation Training of Urban Rifle Marksmanship.

Family and Friends of Easy Company,
There have been some administrative changes to our company and we have been having some technical difficulties with our Facebook account. Please be patient and understanding as we work with Facebook to get everything straightened out. We have missed posting about training lately, but please understand that your Soldier is doing very well. We will do our best to keep all of you as updated as possible.

Training Update: 03-07 October
Land Navigation & Tactical Training Days 5 through 8. (Fire Team Live Fire.)

Your Soldier navigated across multiple training areas here on Fort Benning, putting all of their new Land Navigation training to the test. Following these stressful days we rolled directly into Fire Team Live Fire and your Solider learned to move, shoot, and communicate as a member of an Infantry Fire Team.

In addition to all of this training, two Soldiers were promoted today, in a small ceremony. SPC Montgomery of 3rd Platoon and SPC Will from 4th Platoon. Congratulations Soliders and a job well done!

Next week's training event is Tactical Training Days 9 through 12 or (STT) and your Soldiers will be in the field for the entire week learning to operate as members of an Infantry Squad in a fully tactical environment.

Turning Green Ceremony: 16 September 2022.

Easy Company will turn green on 16 September 2022 at 0900 (9:00am). This ceremony will be open to family, friends, and loved ones.
Your Soldier will be authorized an off post day pass on the 16th, following the ceremony. They will be required to return by 1900 (7:00pm). There will be NO OVERNIGHT PASSES during this time.

Non-military family and friends are authorized to attend. However, you MUST enter Fort Benning at the Main Gate Visitor Center and receive a pass.

Your Soldier knows what they are authorized to do. However, for your situational awareness, all items listed as contraband are still considered contraband. There will be no consumption of alcohol or use of to***co products while on ANY pass. Your Soldier is not authorized to change their uniform or drive a vehicle. All U.S. Army rules and regulations along with all of the 197th Brigade, 2-29 Battalion, and Easy Company polices still apply to your Soldier, even when they are off duty.

**NOTE** Family members will wait at Kannel Field after the Turning Green Event. DO NOT come to the Company Training Area (CTA) after the event.

Congratulate your Soldier and celebrate with them in a safe manner. They are one step closer to graduation and earning the their Blue Cord.

Training Update: 11-12 August, 2022.

Easy Company has completed their Rifle Marksmanship Training for Back Up Iron Sights (BUIS) qualifying on Saturday. Your Soldier will be at the range perfecting their rifle marksmanship for the next two weeks. Their next step is the Close Combat Optic (CCO).

Training Update: 08-09 August, 2022.

Easy Company has started their Rifle Marksmanship Training. Over the last couple of weeks, your soldier has been in a classroom environment. For the next three weeks, your Soldier will be at the range perfecting their rifle marksmanship.

Training Update: 25-29 July, 2022.

Easy Company completed the Confidence Course, Obstacle Course, and the Rappel tower. Your Soldiers gained confidence in themselves and their fellow Soldiers while putting trust in their issued equipment. This week is the last week of Red Phase and your Soldiers will be moving into White Phase on Friday focusing on Rifle Marksmanship.
Congratulations Easy Company Soldiers, you're one step closer to graduation.
