Did you know?
The 199th Infantry Brigade proudly served in the Vietnam War from 1966 to 1970, earning the nickname “The Redcatchers.”

Operating primarily in the III Corps Tactical Zone, the brigade conducted major combat operations around Saigon, Long Binh, Bien Hoa, and the Iron Triangle, playing a critical role in counter-insurgency operations and protecting key population centers.

Through courage, discipline, and sacrifice, the Soldiers of the 199th helped write a powerful chapter in our Army’s history — a legacy that continues to inspire today’s Bayonet Soldiers
