1-46 Infantry Battalion

On 27 March 2025, the organization hosted the 54th annual 1-46 Battalion Torch Lighting ceremony. This ceremony celebrates the heritage of the 46th Infantry Regiment. We recognize the Campaigns the Unit supported between the constitution of the unit on 15
May 1917 as an Operational Force to present day Generating Force. We were joined by the surviving Veterans of Fire Base Maryann.

Dear Team, Families, and Friends,

On 09 October 2024, eleven soldiers from 1-46 IN volunteered at Georgetown Elementary, the designated Partnership in Education (PiE) partner. The soldiers were warmly welcomed on campus and greeted both staff and students, demonstrating their commitment to community involvement. They then took an active role in reading stories to 125 pre-kindergarten students across five classrooms, creating an enriching and engaging experience for the children. In addition, the soldiers supported environmental awareness efforts by distributing recycling awareness booklets and assisting in cleaning the recess area, further contributing to the school’s positive environment.
