Happy Thursday evening Wardog Loved Ones!!

The big thaw is on, and mail is flowing in to D Co!! We had a huge bag come in Tuesday that I picked up late because I was busy during the day. We had about 25ish letters from Sandboxx yesterday, so it took a while to sort all of the mail into platoons. I stayed at work until about 7:15 p.m. to make sure it was ready for distribution!

So I'm going to be completely honest and upfront with yinz, because I believe that integrity is paramount in an organization. And trust me when I say, I love my Company! My Commander, First Sergeant, and Executive Officer are top notch...all the way to the newest Drill in the company.

The big buzz word is Mail. And how trainees are writing home saying they aren't getting mail. I'm part of several FB groups on Benning for BCT and OSUT that I follow from my personal FB page, and I try to assist with questions and quandries that are asked. That's how passionate I am about what I do. So when the topic of mail came about, I sat with my Chain of Command, and my big boss and said I'd like to address this.

Delta Company doesn't hold mail. Its the one thing that motivates a lot of our trainees. In a conversation with my Cadre, they agreed. Mail is motivating. It motivated us when we went through Basic as well. We hear you and we understand.

In full disclosure, I have taken a photo of the mail in our mail room that was passed out last night. That is one big bag that I picked up late on Tuesday and some letters yesterday.

It was all passed out last night, and I thought I'd walk around to take some photos to show yinz just how happy these gentlemen get when its mail call. And a motivated, happy trainee is exactly what we want too. The only time mail would be delayed is when the company spends an overnight in the field. We pass out mail when we get it.

Thank you to all that have reached out with concerns. I do hope that we have addressed them. We are excited for this class and can't wait until we can celebrate with yinz in just 29 days, when we Turn Green!!

Happy Superbowl Sunday Wardog Loved ones!!

This past week has been really busy getting ready for the range to zero their M4A1 so your trainee can qualify.

As you can see, its been rainy, and freezing and generally miserable. But D Co is getting though it!! We always do!!

We are now in WHITE Phase!

Happy Saturday Evening from cold and windy West- Central Georgia!!

Your trainees have been very busy indeed the second half of this week.

Combat Lifesaver Classes for a second
Day.

The all time favourite- The Gas Chamber! Where they have to go in, remove their masks, and recite the Soldier's Creed, or their name and exit the building flapping their arms to help loosen the chemical from their uniform! Lots of mucous. Enjoy the photos!!

And lastly...the first Physical Fitness test! This will let your trainee know where they need to improve.

Your trainees will get to phone you tomorrow for a quick call, letting you know their status (recycle/chapter/continue training) and let you know they have made it through the dreaded Red Phase, and have moved on to White Phase.

Alright WARDOG Family, let's talk about what's going on in the First 100 Yards...

Your Trainee gets off the bus gets into platoon, and they are given their first task. Conducting a resupply mission where they are required to move an arrangement of items from their start point to a designated drop off point.

They must learn to work as a Team to transport cumbersome equipment and maintain cohesion of their group. They will move approximately a half mile and be required to reassemble their equipment in the same configuration.

Before this, they have to leave the safety of the trench and run as they are exposed to simulated gun fire, grenades, and artillery fire.

WELCOME to Delta Company, class 6-015

We make WARDOGS!!

My name is Dawne, I'm the Operations Support Assistant. I do a lot of the admin work so the Chain of Command can take care of the company, and the Drills can take care of our trainees.

My fun job is to 'show' you what your trainee is doing during training. I'll post video montages and photos throughout the 18 weeks here! Feel free to share and always show love on the page when you see your trainee posted!!

Phone time will be conducted at the end of each phase. After Turning Green, phone time will be merit based. So...Letters of love and support are HIGHLY encouraged!! Don't forget to put your trainee's roster number on any mail (when you know what it is) that you send, please.

We are in the middle of the First 72. This is the hardest time for your trainee. Its like culture shock big time.

Unfortunately, I cannot confirm here on FB or over the phone, if your trainee is here in D Co. We did however, go over the Commander's Letter this afternoon, and you'll get that shortly.

If you have any questions, please free to ask... I'll assist you any way I can!

Attached here is the Commanders Letter. For emergencies, please contact the Red Cross. They'll get the message to us.

Turning Green is the completion of the Basic portion, and is 13 March. Dependant on your trainee, they may have a three day pass. So, come visit!!

Turning Blue is the 14th of May. This is when your Soldier gets their Blue Cord. Graduation is on the 15th of May. It's an amazing event to watch! Again, please consider attending if you can!!
