📣 Turning Green Ceremony Announcement

Charlie Company, 2-29 Infantry will hold its Turning Green Ceremony on 14 November 2025 at 1200 EST at Kannel Field located on SandHill, Fort Benning, GA.

Following the ceremony, Soldiers will be released on a four-day pass and must return to the company no later than 1800 hrs on 17 November 2025. Must return to the company area.

There will be a strict 50 mile radius enforcement in effect.

We look forward to seeing families and loved ones join us as we celebrate this important milestone in your Soldiers’ journey! 🇺🇸

We are receiving a lot of messages about Holiday Block Leave.

Your Soldier will have two options when it comes to leaving for block leave.

Option 1: They may be picked up from SandHill in person at a designated time and place.

Option 2: The Soldiers will purchase a bus ticket to get them to and from Atlanta airport. This opportunity will be provided by the Fort Benning MWR.

They will be given the opportunity to purchase a plane ticket leaving from Atlanta. The ticket will be a round trip ticket bringing them back to Atlanta at the end of Holiday Block Leave.

Your Soldier will communicate more info with you as we draw closer to that time.

Information will also be posted here as we get closer.

Again, we kindly ask to please refrain from calling the CQ number. It interrupts business and training.

14 November 2025 – Turning Green Ceremony at 1200 (Noon) EST

20 December 2025 – 04 January 2026 – Holiday Block Leave
Our Soldiers will depart for well-deserved time with their families and return ready to complete their training.

25 February 2026 – Turning Blue Ceremony at 1100 EST
A proud day as our Soldiers earn the coveted Infantry Blue Cord

26 February 2026 – Graduation
We celebrate the completion of Infantry training and the beginning of their journey in the United States Army Infantry.

We encourage families to mark these dates and make the necessary travel arrangements early. More details will be shared as each event approaches.

If you have any questions about the above dates. Please feel free to send us a direct message. Please do not rely on other pages for your information.
