Today the Squadron is proud to announce the start of the Army’s first ever 19C transition course. Designed to bring platform expertise and increased lethality on the Bradley Fighting Vehicle, 19Cs will be making a large impact to ABCTs soon. We are honored to be given the task of shaping the future of the Army’s Armor Force. We greatly appreciate CSM Petty, of the US Army Armor School, for helping us mark such a great occasion. Lions Cover the Front!

From HRC this morning....Reclassification to MOS 19C is now limited to only SL1 and SL4. Those that have already submitted will be processed, but new submissions will be denied. HRC will consider Exception to Policy (ETP) for SSG with 36 months TIG or more.
Do the math on this NCOs...this implies that promotion potential exists once MOS becomes effective.

"Effective immediately the field is not authorized to reclassify SGTs or SSGs into MOS 19C. The Army has reclassified sufficient numbers of Soldiers in Skill Level 2 and Skill Level 3 to meet readiness requirements for FY25. The SRB for 19C Soldiers in the rank of SGT/SSG remains in effect and is not impacted by this reclassification restriction. This ensure those Soldiers reclassified to MOS 19C who subsequently enter the reenlistment window or incur a SRR can receive a 19C SRB."

Good Morning Armor Community! It has been an extremely busy past couple of months and has been a while since our last update to force. Last month the Sullivan Cup: Best Tank Crew Competition concluded and we'd be remiss not to congratulate all of the US and International crews that took part in this year's competition. A special note of congratulations goes to the 278th Armored Cavalry Regiment, TNARNG (Abrams Crew) and 2nd Armored Brigade Combat Team, 1st Cavalry Division (Bradley Crew) for their respective champion crews.

19C Reclassification efforts continue to progress well. To date, we've approved over 200 requests to award constructive credit for those with validated platform experience and are tracking roughly another 800 personnel that will reclass after attending further training. In view of this success, HQDA has reduced the Selective Retention Bonus (SRB) to Tier 6, from Tier 10, for SGT and below. See MILPER 24-216 for more information. With official date of MOS starting 2SEP24, the MOS is on track for success.

As many of you NCOs are aware, FY24 SSG Evaluation Board results have been published. Board results can be found on the HRC website. OCoA is finalizing our analysis of the MQ list and we will post once our findings are approved.

Lastly, HQDA G-1 has approved a Notification of change (NOFC) that establishes a new Enlisted Training Accession Code (19U) for FY25. Not a formal MOS, the new code will add greater flexibility to recruiters and newly enlisted Soldiers by enabling 19C, 19D, and 19K to receive focused MOS training within the same OSUT course dates.

As always, if you have any individual career management questions, please don't hesitate to reach out to one of Career Managers for assistance.
