Stay weather aware today and tomorrow as strong heavy downpours are likely.

There is a Marginal Risk (Level 1 of 5) for Severe Storms for most of north and central Georgia through this evening.
Multiple rounds of showers and thunderstorms are expected to move across the area through at least Monday evening. An anomalously moist environment over north Georgia will support high rain rates (1-2"+/hour) through Monday night which will lead to increased chances for localized flash flooding. A few strong to severe storms are also possible through Monday evening with damaging wind gusts (40-60mph) and frequent lightning being the main threats.
