I RECEIVED THE GREATEST COMPLIMENT TODAY! 2 dogs in need wagged their tails when they saw me coming back to check on them π₯°
For context: Yesterday, I noticed two beautiful dogs hanging out in my local dog park without collars or humans. They were clean, calm, and very friendly. Unfortunately, they were somehow misplaced and needed help finding their way home.
So I put the word out to my neighborhood via Facebook, rallied some neighbors and we came together to help these 2 sweet girls. I checked in on them in the evening, before sunset, after dark, and bright and early to make sure they were cool, fed and hydrated. Nearly every time, I met a new neighbor willing to help.
Animal control eventually came and picked up the girls. They will have food, water, shelter, and AC for at least the next 72 hours, so I'll call that a win for now π.
I share this story because it reinforced my belief that people are still capable and willing to come together for those in need (two legged or four π). Don't lose hope on society or sit back and watch misfortune play out. We can all do something to help one another and great things can happen when we come together π.
If you recognize these dogs, please call kaufman county animal control (469-376-4120).
