On 5-27-26, the Scott County Sheriff’s Office Narcotics Task Force and the Mississippi Bureau of Narcotics executed a search warrant on the residence of Alvester Tucker at 1213 East Oak Street in the city of Forest. Among the items seized were, approximately 28 grams of methamphetamine, narcotics distribution scales, multiple fi****ms, two vehicles and currency from illicit narcotics sales.

A separate search warrant was also conducted by the SCSO Narcotics Task Force, Mississippi Bureau of Narcotics and Lake Police Department, at the residence of Rodney Mitchell on Thornton St in Lake. That search warrant yielded a seizure of approximately 5 grams of methamphetamine, .5 gram of crack co***ne and other items commonly used in the distribution of illegal narcotics.

Today, the Scott County Sheriff’s Office pauses to remember and honor the brave men and women of our Armed Forces who made the ultimate sacrifice in service to our nation. Their courage, selflessness, and unwavering dedication to protecting the freedoms we enjoy will never be forgotten.

Memorial Day is more than a holiday—it is a time to reflect on the tremendous cost of liberty and to pay tribute to those who gave their lives for a cause greater than themselves. We are forever grateful to the fallen heroes and the families who continue to carry their legacy forward.

As we gather with family and friends, let us take a moment to remember those who never had the opportunity to return home. Their sacrifice is the foundation of the freedoms we cherish today.

From all of us at the Scott County Sheriff’s Office, we honor the fallen, support their families, and pledge to never forget their service and sacrifice.

“All gave some, some gave all. Today, we remember them.” 🇺🇸

During this National Police Week, the Scott County Sheriff’s Office pauses to remember and honor JULIAN PARKER who answered every call to serve with courage, integrity, and sacrifice. His dedication to protecting our community will never be forgotten, and his legacy continues to live on through every badge worn at the Scott County Sheriff’s Office and every life he ever touched.

We remember not only the uniform he wore, but the hearts he carried through his career.. His commitment to service came with great love and dedication, and for that, we remain forever grateful.

As we honor his legacy during National Police Week, we also stand beside the family, friends, and brothers and sisters in law enforcement who continue carrying his memory forward. May we never him & his commitment for the safety of our communities.

“Heroes live forever in the hearts of those they protected.”
