Welcome Home to Rebel Nation, Amanda Havard!

Scott Central is proud to welcome Amanda Havard back to her alma mater as a Secondary Inclusion Teacher.

A 2009 graduate of Scott Central, Mrs. Havard is excited to return to the place she once called home and begin a new chapter serving the students of her community. She earned a degree in Animal and Dairy Science from Mississippi State University in 2014 and later completed a Master’s degree in Educational Leadership from Arkansas State University in 2018.

Mrs. Havard began her educational career teaching Agriculture at the Career and Technical Center in Forest, where she served from 2014 to 2025. During the 2025-2026 school year, she taught Physical Science, Botany, and Environmental Science at Morton High School. While there, she worked closely with an Inclusion Teacher, an experience that sparked her passion for inclusion education and inspired her to pursue this new path.

When the opportunity arose to return to Scott Central, Mrs. Havard eagerly applied for the position, excited to give back to the school that helped shape her own educational journey.

Mrs. Havard is the proud mother of her son, Levi River, who will begin Kindergarten at Scott Central this year. Outside of school, she enjoys spending time with family, riding horses, and helping care for their family farm.

Please join us in giving Mrs. Havard a warm Rebel welcome as she returns home to Scott Central!
