Scott County offices will be closed on Friday, July 3, 2026 in observance of Independence Day. Residential garbage collection routes will run as normal.

As we continue to receive more rain, road safety conditions will continue to deteriorate. Please avoid traveling if at all possible. If you must travel, please use extreme caution and watch out for county road crews, law enforcement and first responders.

Meridian Waste has advised that today’s garbage collection route will be shortened due to the potential for severe weather.

Any collections missed today as a result will be picked up tomorrow morning. There is no anticipated delay in the routes for the remainder of the week.
