Winton Woods Homecoming Parade – Friday, September 18

The Winton Woods City Schools Homecoming Parade will take place on Friday, September 18, beginning at 5:30 PM. The parade will leave the Early Childhood Central Campus (825 Waycross Road), travel down Waycross Road, and conclude at Central Park.

For the safety of participants and spectators, Waycross Road will be closed during the parade. Please plan accordingly and expect delays in the area.

Lunch & Bingo Recap
Thank you to all our Senior Members who joined us for Lunch & Bingo. The event, sponsored by The Center for Closing the Health Gap, brought another full room of friendly competition, great conversation, and plenty of laughs. Members enjoyed a delicious lunch, ten rounds of bingo, and an afternoon of community connection. We appreciate Closing the Health Gap for supporting one of our most popular monthly programs.

Next Lunch & Bingo – Friday, September 25
Our next Lunch & Bingo will be held on Friday, September 25 at 11:30 AM at the Forest Park Senior Center. Senior Members must wear their badge and must play bingo to receive lunch. Cards are $2 each. We look forward to seeing everyone again for another fun afternoon together.

Pesticides, herbicides, fertilizers, solvents, thinners, lead paint, oil-based paint, oil-based stains, fluorescent tubes, cleaners, pool chemicals, driveway sealers, mercury, tar, thermostats, thermometers, oxygen cylinders/tank, refrigerant cylinders/tanks, adhesive foam cylinders, gasoline, oil/gasoline mix, kerosene, lighter fluid, and vapes.

b. HHP Unacceptable Items *

Latex paint, unknown materials, roofing materials, ammunition, explosives, fireworks, flares, gun powder, controlled substances, prescriptions, over-the-counter drugs, medical waste, unmarked cylinders, propane tanks, helium tanks, CO2 tanks, fire extinguishers, single-use batteries, car batteries, rechargeable batteries, lithium-ion batteries, compact fluorescent lightbulbs, motor oil, cooking oil, antifreeze, yard trimmings, appliances, computers, electronics, tires and garbage.

Forest Park Residents: September Chipper Service

The next monthly Chipper Service takes place September 14–18. To ensure your material is collected, please place items at the curb the evening before your pickup day or no later than 7:00 AM.

Service Time Limit
Crews are allotted up to 10 minutes per household. Any remaining material must be removed and can be set out again next month.

Placement Guidelines
• Limbs must be under 8 inches in diameter
• Keep branches as long as possible
• Stack branches neatly with cut ends facing the curb
• If material extends past the sidewalk, place it parallel to the street with cut ends facing the direction of traffic
• Do not bundle brush or place material in containers

Items That Cannot Be Collected
• Old firewood, lumber, split‑rail fencing
• Roots or stumps
• Contractor‑generated material
• Leaves, twigs, or small clippings (place these in your Rumpke garbage can)

A door tag will be placed on any house with uncollected material, noting the reason. Once corrected, the material may be set out for the next month’s collection.
