On the 25th anniversary of September 11, 2001, students across District 91 took time to remember, reflect, and learn about a day that forever changed our nation.

At Garfield and Betsy Ross, students and staff showed their patriotism by wearing red, white, and blue.

At Field-Stevenson, students watched a video and learned about the many heroes of 9/11-the first responders and everyday people who showed extraordinary courage and compassion.

Forest Park Middle School students learned about the remarkable story of Gander, Newfoundland, and how the small Canadian community welcomed thousands of stranded airline passengers in the days following the attacks.

Twenty-five years later, we continue to honor those we lost, recognize the heroes who stepped forward, and remember the kindness and unity shown during an incredibly difficult time.
