The 17th Annual Juneteenth Family Pool Party is happening tomorrow! 🎉🏊

Join friends, neighbors, and families from across the community for an evening of celebration, connection, and fun at the Forest Park Aquatic Center. Forest Park established this tradition in 2009 to introduce Juneteenth to children and families living in Proviso and the surrounding communities, and we are proud to continue it each year.

Public Works crews are out clearing debris from yesterday’s storm.

Crews will be working block by block over the next week to remove brush from the parkway. We appreciate your patience as they continue this work.

The Village is also monitoring the potential for more storms on Thursday afternoon. Two rounds of storms are possible, with damaging high winds, hail, and possible tornado warnings.

Please continue to monitor the weather late Thursday afternoon into the evening and take precautions as needed.

We will share additional updates as necessary.

The Village of Forest Park will hold a Budget Meeting on Wednesday, July 8, at 3 PM at Village Hall, 517 Des Plaines Avenue.

Residents are welcome to attend and stay informed as the Village discusses budget-related matters.

Update 7:00pm: Main streets have been cleared for emergency vehicles. Public Works crews will be working late into this evening to move debris from side streets. Clean up of sidewalks and alleys will take several days to complete.

We are monitoring the potential for more storms Wednesday evening and Thursday afternoon. We appreciate your patience as we work to get the storm damage cleaned up.

Residents, the Village is aware of several downed trees throughout Forest Park.

Public Works crews are actively working to clear trees, branches, and debris. Main roads will be addressed first, followed by side streets.

Please do not touch any trees or debris that are in contact with power lines. ⚠️ If possible, please stay off the roads to allow crews to work safely and efficiently.

Service Update Reminder for Residents 🚛 ...

Beginning Wednesday, June 10, all single-family homes, condos, and apartment buildings with 1–4 units that currently receive Thursday garbage and recycling service will transition to Wednesday collection.

📅 Schedule Reminder:
- Week of June 8: Pickup shifts to Wednesday, June 10

Apartment buildings with 5 or more units will remain on their current collection schedules.

This adjustment will help SBC Waste Solutions provide more consistent service throughout the community. Thank you for your patience and cooperation during this transition.

Parking Lot Closure Reminder...

Please note that the Constitution Court parking lot will be closed on Friday, June 5, from 2:00 PM to 10:00 PM for Forest Park Pride Fest.

We encourage residents and visitors to plan ahead and use alternate parking during this time.

While you're in the area, come out and join the celebration! Pride Fest is a chance to gather as a community, celebrate diversity, enjoy local entertainment, and show support for our LGBTQ+ neighbors, friends, family members, and visitors.
