Senior Bingo is coming up on Thursday, September 24, at the Howard Mohr Community Center. Lunch will be served at noon for $8.50 and includes chicken sandwiches with all the fixings, fruit, chips, dessert, and coffee.

Bingo starts at 1 PM. The cost is $2.50 per card. Reservations are required, and transportation is available by appointment.

The Safe & Defensive Driving Course will be held at the Howard Mohr Community Center on September 21 and 22 from 9 AM to 1 PM.

The cost is $20 for AARP members and $25 for non-AARP members. Participants must attend both days to receive a certificate. Registration is required.

Reminder, Circle Bowling Lanes is collecting non-perishable food donations for the Forest Park Food Pantry throughout September.

Bring in a non-perishable food item now through September 30 and receive a complimentary shoe rental.

Suggested donation items include soups, ramen, canned fruit, cereal, oatmeal, pasta sauce, canned tomatoes, bagged beans, rice, canned vegetables, canned tuna, and individually packaged snacks.

Reminder, the Forest Park National Bank Annual Shred Event is coming up this Saturday, September 12.

Residents can bring up to two boxes of documents for secure shredding from 8 AM to 12 PM, or until the trucks fill up.

The event will be held in the municipal parking lot located just south of the Forest Park Bank Drive-Up facility at 7348 W. Madison St.

Please note that each box must not exceed 12” x 12” x 18”. Staples are allowed, but three-ring notebooks and binders with large metal rings cannot be shredded.
