It operates under the Rutherford County School District and serves students in grades 9-12. It operates under the Rutherford County School District and was built in 1958-59. The first class graduated from the school in the spring of 1960. CHASE High School was founded on, and continues to focus on, serving its communities, thus the name CHASE is an acronym for Cliffside & Caroleen, Henrietta & Harris, Avondale, Shiloh, and Everyone Else.

Senior Parents: We invite you to join us for Senior Survival Night on Monday, September 14 at 6:00 PM in the CHASE High School Auditorium.

During this important meeting, we will share helpful information to help you and your senior navigate the final year of high school and prepare for graduation.

Our Cap and Gown Representative from Herff Jones will also be there to answer questions and assist families with ordering graduation caps, gowns, and other graduation attire.

MYTH BUSTER MONDAY | Schools’ four-year cohort graduation rate was 68.7%. In 2025–2026, our rate again exceeded 95%.

That means RCS has moved from fewer than seven of every ten students graduating within four years to more than 95 of every 100 — an improvement of more than 26 percentage points.

Our 2025–2026 results place RCS among the top five of North Carolina’s 115 school systems for four-year cohort graduation success.

That progress reflects years of sustained work across our schools, from the earliest grades through graduation, and the collective efforts of teachers, principals, counselors, instructional assistants, student support staff, transportation employees, child nutrition teams, operations personnel, central services staff, and many others.

We are proud of how far we have come, and we remain committed to maximizing graduation success for every student we serve.
