Thank you to everyone who came out last Tuesday for our holiday game night and to our family event this past weekend. We had a great time and hope to see you again soon. ❤️

We've been humming Christmas carols all week... that's because we're getting ready for two holiday events at the Community Healing, Recovery, and Thriving Center next week.

On Tuesday, December 12th we'll hold a holiday game night for adults. This will take place during the regular time for our family circle starting at 6:30pm. Join us for food, games, and prizes.

On Saturday, December 16th we're hosting a family friendly event from 12pm-2pm. We'll have games, food, and some fun crafts for the kids (of all ages!) including making snow globes. If you see any of our team covered in glitter for the remainder of the holiday season, now you'll know why!

The Community HRT Center is located at 648 Withrow Road in Forest City. Hope to see you there. We'll be decked out in our ugly Christmas sweaters! 🎄🎄☃️☃️❤️❤️

August 31st is International Overdose Awareness Day (IOAD), "the world’s largest annual campaign to end overdose, remember without stigma those who have died from overdose, and acknowledge the grief of the family and friends left behind."

We support and honor the efforts of this campaign on August 31st and every day. We are dedicated to preventing overdose in Rutherford County and committed to serving those affected by it.

Our Mobile Harm Reduction Team (Mobile HRT 💜) is staffed by a certified peer support specialist and a medical assistant. They are compassionate, knowledgeable, and they literally meet people where they're at. The Mobile team travels throughout the county five days a week, distributing Narcan and other harm reduction supplies directly to people who need it and their loved ones. The team also provides rapid HIV and HEP-C testing in the field as well as other screenings. Our goal is to not only prevent overdose but to also prevent blood borne illnesses and other injuries. We also provide linkages to treatment and other resources.

If you or someone you know needs harm reduction services, Medication Assisted Treatment, peer support services, recovery supports, reentry services, or has questions about our Community Healing, Recovery, and Thriving Center (Community HRT💙Center) please call our office at 828-286-3929 or call the Mobile HRT 💜at 828-388-1964 to speak with someone who is eager to help.

We're here for our community. We invest in people. 💙💜
