fy. Men’s Health - Program providing annual exam, contraception, and vasectomy services. Breastcare- Women must be 40 yrs of age or older to qualify. Annual exam, Pap smear if needed, and mammogram provided. No charge

Immunizations- Adult and childhood immunizations provided. We have the latest vaccines for cervical cancer, meningitis, Hepatitis A, and adult pertussis or whooping cough. Age restrictions for some vaccines do apply. Medicaid participants no charge, all others $5.00 per visit for record maintenance fee. STDs- Testing is provided for s*xually transmitted diseases available to all ages. Charge is $5.00 for record maintenance fee. All visits are kept strictly confidential. Generous income guidelines. Want to be in the Fordyce Christmas Parade? The parade is scheduled for December 2nd, line up will be at Beech Grove Church at 5:30pm. The parade will start at 6:00pm and end at the Fordyce Tree Lighting. We have prizes for the top three floats!! We would like to invite everyone to a Safety Baby Shower. A drawing for a Pack n Play will be drawn from participants at the end of the shower. Presents, food, and a lot of good information on keeping your baby safe. Mothers, grandmothers, and fathers to be, along with aunties and friends, whoever is your support are welcomed to attend. February 11th at 4:00 -6:00 pm at the Dallas County Health Unit.

Tonight is Tasty Tuesdays at the Farmers Market starting at 4:00. I hope you will drop by and get your fresh produce and a spaghetti dinner. Some of the produce that will be available is watermelons, cantaloupe, tomatoes, peas shelled & unshelled, cucumbers, squash, zucchini. I know people have been picking blueberries but don't know if anyone will have some to sell. There is always one of a kind jewlrey and ? That's part of the fun to see who shows up. See you tonight!

Good Morning,
Tomorrow is First Pickens luncheon we are selling tickets for $6.00 and we will also have them at the door. It will help if you let us know if you are coming by to get lunch because we want to make sure we are cooking the right amount of food. This fundraiser benefits the Farmers Market and the Community garden. This year we were able to purchase a large industrial size fan for the farmers market and advertise on the radio. We have also purchased seeds, plants, hose, fertilizer and lime for the garden. The garden provides produce to churches and civic groups to give to needy families and is brought to the senior center for our elderly. I hope you will help support these services to provide garden vegetables to residents of this area. The vegetable plate includes: purple hull peas, cream potatoes, cabbage, squash, onion, tomato, cucumber, corn bread, peach cobbler and tea. Please help me share this information.

Sunday is Mothers Day and we want to wish all the mothers a happy day. I hope your children give you appreciation and love for all you have done and do for them. We will be celebrating Women's Health with a tea on May 23 at the Dallas Co. Senior Center from 3:00 pm to 5:00 pm. We will have speakers on health, serve refreshments, and give away door prizes.
