On Patriot Day, we remember.

Twenty-five years after September 11, 2001, our FUSD community remembers the lives lost, honors the bravery and sacrifice of first responders, and reflects on the lasting impact of this day on our nation.

Fontana High School’s CTE Public Services Pathways — Fire Technology, EMS, and Law Enforcement — joined MCJROTC in a commemorative event honoring those who lost their lives and those who serve.

At Summit High School, the day began with a flag ceremony with members of the U.S. Army and a moment of silence. Throughout the day, scholars also had the opportunity to connect with representatives from law enforcement, emergency medical services, the fire service, military recruiters, and other public service organizations.

We will never forget.

At this week’s Board of Education meeting, Julian Villeda was officially sworn in as Fontana Unified’s student board member for the 2026–2027 school year.

A scholar at Henry J. Kaiser High School, Julian will represent scholar voices across the District. As he begins his term, Julian hopes to serve as a messenger for scholars across Fontana Unified and ensure their voices are represented.

Welcome Back, Fontana Unified!

The 2026–2027 school year is here, and we are excited for another year filled with learning, growth, and opportunity for our students.

This year marks the 70th anniversary of Fontana becoming a Unified School District! While our district’s history spans more than 100 years, this milestone celebrates seven decades of bringing elementary and secondary education together to serve our students and community.
