I was proud to attend the Court of Honor for Gami Brackett, the newest Eagle Scout for Troop 81 Canajoharie. Gami has spent eight years dedicated to Scouting, earning him 32 merit badges. His Eagle Scout project involved designing and leading the construction of a warming hut in Wintergreen Park.

After raising an Eagle Scout myself, I know the amount of commitment and dedication it takes to achieve this distinction. Congratulations!

Twenty-five years later, we continue to remember the lives lost and the families, first responders and communities forever changed by Sept. 11, 2001. Today is a day to reflect, remember and honor those we lost.

For 185 years, the fair has brought families, friends, farmers and neighbors together to celebrate our agricultural heritage and enjoy a week of good food, entertainment, rides and memories.

I was proud to join the opening ceremonies and help kick off another year of one of Montgomery County’s most treasured traditions.

Here’s to the 185th Fonda Fair and to the generations of people who have helped make it such a special part of our community!

We are thrilled to be partnering with the Regional Food Bank to support the folks in the western portion of Montgomery County. Don't forget the next food distribution is Tuesday, at the Canajoharie Central School District at 10AM until supplies run out.

Congratulations to the Montgomery County Dwyer Program on the opening of the new Peer Program Meeting Space at the Canajoharie C*C!

This new space will provide a welcoming place for veterans to connect with one another, build relationships and access peer support in a comfortable community setting.

I was happy to celebrate National Farmers Market Week with the folks from the Grow Amsterdam Farmers Market and Senator Patricia A. Fahy.

A big thank you to Senator Fahy for securing another $25,000 operating grant to support the market. This funding will help ensure the Grow Amsterdam Farmers Market continues to be a great asset to our community, supporting local farmers, vendors, and giving residents access to fresh, locally grown products.
