Save your page with one of these unique bookmarks! We've professionally printed copies of the winners of this year's Summer Reading bookmark contest. Stop by the library to pick up one for yourself, while supplies last.

Happy Teentober! Gently used teen materials are 50% off on Saturday, October 3! (The regular prices are pretty darn good, too, if you can't make it that day.)

Chapter 52 Bookstore is open Monday-Wednesday 2-6 pm and Saturday 9 am-1 pm.

We had SO much fun sculpting oven-bake clay into tiny food at Play with Your Food today! Stop by on Tuesday, October 20 for "Will It Waffle?" - we're going to see what we can cook with a waffle iron besides regular old waffles.

Do you know someone struggling with mental health, or who died by su***de? Honor them by stopping by YScreen's LOOK UP Butterfly Project box that is visiting the Fond du Lac Public Library. As part of Su***de Prevention Month, YScreen is creating a community butterfly display centered around remembrance, hope, and resilience. Write a name, a note, or even just initials on a butterfly and drop it in the box. YScreen is a project of the Fond du Lac Area United Way; learn more in the comments.

988 Day is September 8. 988 Day was created as a day of action to raise awareness of 988 and its positive impact on individual and community health, safety, and well-being. Not sure if your reason to call, text, or chat is worth it? Don't worry. Your reason is reason enough.

The 988 Su***de & Crisis Lifeline provides connection to confidential for mental health and substance use issues. There is hope. Just call, text, or chat. Learn more at 988Wisconsin.org.

Just a reminder: The FDL Public Library will be closed all of Labor Day weekend: Saturday, Sept. 5 through Monday, Sept. 7. We will reopen Tuesday, Sept 8 at 9 am. Pick up any outdoor games, board games, movies, or books you'd like for the long weekend before we close Friday at 6 pm. Otherwise, our digital resources are always available!

We talked about how to get infinite free herbs to season your life at yesterday's Herbology 101 session of Play with Your Food. We talked about propagating plants, storing fresh herbs by freezing or drying them (with the library's food dehydrator, available for checkout), and got live plants to take home!

Join our next meeting on Tuesday, September 15, at 4:30 PM in the Discovery Room (on the library's lower level) to use oven-bake clay to create miniature versions of your favorite foods!
