❄️ Coats for Kids starts today!

Starting today, October 2nd, through the 16th, we're collecting new or gently used coats, hats and gloves (no older than 2 years) to keep local youth warm this winter. We also collect snow boots for elementary-aged kids.

Kim Miller, the NAMI Fond du Lac County Grant and Fundraising Coordinator spoke to us today. NAMI Fond du Lac County is the local affiliate of the National Alliance on Mental Illness, which is the nation’s largest mental health organization. They are dedicated to improving the lives of individuals and families affected by mental illness through free support, education, and advocacy. Death by su***de numbers have gone up dramatically from 14 in 2024 to 31 in 2025. NAMI FdL offers different support groups (peers, families, children’s grief, and for survivors of su***de loss). They have presentations and classes which can help raise awareness and a better understanding of mental illness. For more information go to https://namifonddulac.org/

🌙 Light Up the Night 🌙

All are welcome to join us tonight at Hamilton Park at 6:30 PM for Solutions Center's Light Up the Night.

This evening is a time to honor and remember the lives lost and those impacted by domestic violence, while coming together as a community to raise awareness and support prevention.

This year’s event will shine a special light on teen dating violence, with displays available for community viewing and opportunities to learn more about this important issue.

At ASTOP, we care deeply about working with young people to provide comprehensive education about healthy relationships, consent, boundaries, and recognizing unhealthy behaviors -because prevention starts with equipping youth with the knowledge and skills to build safe, healthy relationships.

💜 We hope you’ll join us tonight as we remember, learn, and come together to Light Up the Night.

One of the reasons screening matters is because teens don’t always ask for help when they need it.

Sometimes they don’t know how to bring it up. Sometimes they’re worried about how someone will react. And sometimes they may not even realize that what they’re feeling is something they should talk about.

We can’t always wait for a teen to come to us first.
That’s why creating opportunities to check in matters. 💙
