Little Brother Layne was on our waiting list for almost two years before being matched with Big Brother Jack. Jack signed up to be a mentor earlier this year, and the two were paired in March based on their shared interest in fishing and the outdoors. 🎣🌲

After just six months of having a Big, Layne’s mom couldn’t be more grateful, “I’m so incredibly thankful for Layne’s match and everything they’ve already done together this year. I think Layne was almost two years on the waiting list for a Big and we were starting to think it would never happen, but Jack’s been well worth the wait! Layne overcame his fear of going out on a boat this summer! Once at the sailing event and another time fishing with Jack, where he caught a 25” Northern—so awesome!”

There’s an overwhelming need for male mentors in our community. Of over 100 children on our waiting list, most are young boys hoping for a positive male role model. This , visit https://www.bbbsfdl.org/get-matched/ to become a Big and help us end the wait.
