Hey Auburn, let’s talk about e-bikes—specifically, the ones your kids are zipping around on like they just unlocked a turbo boost in Mario Kart. We know kids love ‘em, parents love the break from carpool duty, and let’s be honest—some of these things have more torque than our first cars!!!

Class 1 & 2? Good to go! Pedal assist and throttle-friendly—just keep it responsible.

Class 3? Only for 16+ riders with helmets—so no, little Timmy should not be going 28mph down Lincoln Way like he’s late for the Tour de Auburn.

Modified or offroad only E-bikes that break the speed limit? That’s not an E-Bike, that’s a problem. Congrats, you now own an unregistered motorcycle. And no, your 12-year-old should not be riding it to school.

Parents, we get it—e-bikes are fun. But just like cars, they come with responsibilities. So, let’s keep our young riders safe, smart, and speed limit-friendly. Check out the flyer for all the details before your kid hits the road like a caffeinated Mario Kart racer.

This event was the first annual LGBTQ+ event to be held at the senior center open to older adults and represented by several neighboring cities and counties in the district.
The event was an exemplary celebration of diversity, inclusion, and advocacy for older LGBTQ+ adults, providing them with a safe, vibrant space to connect, share experiences, while embracing the strength and support of community.

The East Bay Senior Pride Event was free to all seniors (50+) in the Bay Area which included Albany, Berkeley, Emeryville, Oakland and surrounding communities in Alameda and Contra Costa Counties. The event reached capacity at 125!
