Today in the cold and misty rain members of our team and Southern Indiana Search & Rescue conducted our first joint training. This was a combination of search types and also training for dogs and boats. We would like to thank Mount Saint Francis Sanctuary, Inc. for the use of the lake and grounds, Highlander Fire Protection District for the use of the boat and equipment as well.
As always our services are available as mutual aid for Search to regional agencies.

Heads up hikers! Weather permitting, we will be doing controlled burns on several of the fields around the Sanctuary property this Saturday (March 6). It's always amazing to watch our wonderful volunteer firefighters in action, but it can get rather smokey! So if you have breathing issues, you might pick another day to enjoy the trails :)

Hey all you hikers - we know you love us but we hear it's getting a little crowded out there! PLEASE, PLEASE, PLEASE maintain that social distance of at least 6 ft. If you have kiddos, please don't let them run ahead and possibly come in contact with someone. If the trail is narrow, you need to get off the path in order to keep the distance. We know that your options are limited right now, but you can not congregate or picnic or even hang around and talk in a group. Also remember that the buildings on the hill are friars' residences and off limits. The chapel is closed now, so there is no reason to be up there. Enjoy the space and the fresh air, but be safe and keep everyone safe!
