Your Flower Mound Public Safety (Fire/Police) is funded by Sales Tax and Property Tax. While residents have seen lower property tax rates recently, the Town is facing a tax revenue shortfall while the need for services only continues to grow. Our Town Council is facing some big decisions, and it is important our citizens understand the circumstances.
Without an increase in tax revenues, it is possible that Public Safety could potentially see impacts, changes and even reductions to things like - Staffing and personnel, equipment/officer response capabilities during emergency response, and more.
Our Police Administration has already done a good job of managing and accounting for every dollar spent in their budget. And our Town Managers Office has done of good job of painting a realistic picture for your Council members of what’s in store.
We encourage you to read articles like these, attend and/or stream Town Council meetings, or contact your Council members directly and remain educated on the current tax/revenue climate many towns/cities are facing right now.
Our Flower Mound Police Officers are here and ready to protect and serve in all capacities.
