Reminder! Join us today at 3pm for a discussion of Anatomy of an Alibi by Ashley Elston.

Please drop in on any of our book discussions! We are a friendly group of local community members who gather to discuss selected titles each month. Thursday afternoons focus on mysteries & thrillers, while Tuesday evenings read a little bit of everything. Interested? Stop by the library to check out a copy of the current month's titles available in a variety of formats. Pre-registration is not required. All are welcome, bring a friend!

Reminder! The 2026 Library Passport Adventure program ends on Saturday, September 5. Flossmoor residents, remember to return your passport to the library! Passports should be returned to your home library.

Check out an old favorite book or hit shuffle and try something new. Find harmony at your library’s book clubs and adult and youth programs. A headphone kind of day?
Find your focus in a study room or vibe out in a cozy nook. Compose your future with new skills learned from items in our Library of Things. No matter what rhythm you find yourself in, there’s a seat in the front row at the library for you.

This September, B sharp, and sign-up for a library card! During September, new Flossmoor Library card registrations and expired card renewals will be eligible for an entry to win a music themed gift basket as well as a goodie from our treasure chest!

Also visit our display case in the north lobby to visit our” Savings Worth Singing About” game. Visit the front desk to give your guess about the value of the items in the case. If you are within $5 of the total, you can take a dive into our treasure chest. Why buy when you can borrow from the library!

Reminder! Registration open tomorrow (September 1) at 10am for Painting with Tracie. Please use the link below to register.

Create your own masterpiece in this fun, guided, step-by-step program. Each participant will create “Morning Meow” on canvas. All supplies will be provided and all skill levels are welcome! Registration is required and limited. Registration begins Tuesday, September 1 at 10 am.

PLEASE NOTE: This is not an open paint session. Participants are expected to paint the design designated in the class description. This is an adult program for ages 18+. Registered participants may lose their spot in class if they arrive later than 11:10 am. This program will end promptly at 1pm.

Update: No-shows or cancellations received on the date of program will result in status being changed from main-list to wait-list for the next painting session you register to attend.

Reminder - happening Tuesday, September 1! As Flossmoor gears up for its seventh annual half-marathon, we invite you to join author Tom Dobrez as he shares the “hidden gems” uncovered in his 2025 book A More Perfect Place: The Story of Flossmoor. Tom will also treat attendees to a rare free screening of his short film of the same title. You won’t want to miss this!
