On Monday June 29th, Engine 20, Rescue Engine 22, and Chiefs 30, 31, 32, and 33 responded to a two-vehicle motor vehicle crash with entrapment at the intersection of Columbia Turnpike and Hanover Road.

Upon arrival, Rescue Engine 22 found one occupant trapped inside a heavily damaged vehicle. Through the coordinated efforts they successfully completed a challenging extrication, allowing EMS to quickly access and provide patient care.

We would also like to remind everyone to stay alert behind the wheel, avoid distractions, wear your seatbelt, and always move over for emergency vehicles operating on the roadway.

Interested in joining? Message us today or stop by the firehouse 315 Brooklake Road on Monday nights at 730pm.

Please help US help YOU! If you have a generator running, look up some basic generator safety tips; NEVER run a generator inside your home and NEVER point the exhaust anywhere near an open window or below an overhang such as your roof. Also, be sure to install and test carbon monoxide detectors in your hope (in addition to smoke detectors, of course!).

Early this morning, the volunteers of the Florham Park Fire Department responded to a residential structure fire. Upon arrival of Florham Park Police patrol, visible fire was seen at the rear of the home. Assistant Chief 32 arrived on scene and relayed fire was now seen in the attic. Assistant Chief 33 arrived shortly thereafter followed by Deputy Chief 31 and then later, Chief 30.
Florham Park's Rescue Pumper 22, Ladder 24, and Engine 25 all arrived and began fire operations holding the fire to only the bravo-charlie side of the house and attic.
Several mutual aid companies assisted on scene - Madison Fire Department, , East Hanover Fire Department, Parsippany Rescue and Recovery Unit. Township Fire Department provided station coverage for us while all our personnel were tied up on scene in the event of another call for service.
**The house may not still be standing if it was not for our dedicated volunteers who jumped out of bed after hearing the alarm or re-routing from their commute to work or any other typical Monday morning activity. However, we are at critical numbers and desperately need more people to fill the ranks. If you are even thinking about joining or have questions, send us a direct message here, stop by fire headquarters (315 Brooklake Road) any Monday night at 7:30p, or email us at [email protected]; help us help our neighbors! All training provided...free.

Impending MAJOR snow storm!!!! Help us help you! Time matters in the event of a fire!

We would like to take this time in anticipation of the possibility of snow to remind you that if you have a fire hydrant on your property, please keep them clear - removing snow from around the hydrants in at least a three foot radius saves us critical time when needed to connect to a hydrant for water. And don’t forget to help/remind your neighbors with hydrants on their property.
