Last week, we had the privilege of gathering around the table to celebrate someone who has meant so much to the ministry of House of Hope.
For nine years, Julie Maxham faithfully served House of Hope, walking alongside this ministry through seasons of growth and celebration, as well as seasons that required perseverance, prayer, and deep trust in the Lord.
And through it all, she stayed faithful.
During Julie’s time at House of Hope, God used her gifts, leadership, compassion, and heart for this mission in countless ways. She helped tell the stories of the people we serve, invited others into the mission, built relationships throughout our community, and reminded us again and again that this work has always been about more than meeting immediate needs. It is about offering hope and pointing people toward restoration in Christ.
Ministry is rarely a straight path. There are mountaintops and valleys, answered prayers and seasons when we simply have to trust God with what comes next. We are so grateful that Julie chose to walk that path with House of Hope for nine incredible years.
While this chapter of Julie’s time at House of Hope may be closing, we have a feeling this is far from the end of the story. We are grateful for every seed she planted, every relationship she nurtured, and every life touched through her faithful service. Most of all, we look forward to seeing how God continues to use her and write the chapters ahead.
Julie, thank you for nine years of loving House of Hope, believing in this mission, and serving the Lord so faithfully. You will always be an important part of the House of Hope family and story.
