East Judd Road is currently closed to westbound traffic. Please use an alternate route and avoid the area while emergency crews are working.

As America marked 250 years of freedom, the Florence Police Department is honored to wear a commemorative badge that represents far more than a milestone—it represents the enduring promise to protect the liberties that generations of Americans have fought, sacrificed, and served to preserve. Every time our officers pin on this badge, they carry not only the weight of the law, but the responsibility of safeguarding the freedoms that make this nation extraordinary.

In a town where history runs as deep as our roots, that responsibility means something special. From the streets of one of Arizona’s oldest communities to the neighborhoods we proudly serve today, our commitment has never changed: to stand the line with integrity, courage, and honor. 🚨 CHALLENGE ACCEPTED. 🚨

Kyle from Your Behind BBQ threw down the gauntlet and challenged our Florence Police Chief to compete in the 4th of July Rib Eating Contest. While the Chief won’t be able to make it this year due to other operational needs, make no mistake—we’re not backing down.

Chief Thomas has designated a representative to carry the Florence PD badge into battle, and we fully intend to bring that title home. 🇺🇸🍖 However, we cannot divulge our Officer’s identity due to operational security. This officer will be on a training regiment until the contest to ensure maximum performance.

📢 FLORENCE POLICE DEPARTMENT IMPLEMENTS NEW COMMUNITY NOTIFICATION SYSTEM

The Florence Police Department is pleased to announce that we have officially implemented Versaterm CommunityConnect, an automated communication system designed to enhance transparency, improve communication, and keep our community informed.

Beginning today, 9-1-1 callers and crime victims may receive text and email updates directly from the Florence Police Department, including:

✅ Immediate acknowledgment after a call for service
✅ Helpful resources and notifications regarding response delays
✅ Ongoing updates throughout the investigative process for crime victims
✅ Optional mobile-friendly surveys that allow you to provide feedback about your experience with our department
