Rufus G. Hibbett Elementary School

Rufus G. Hibbett Elementary School Hibbett Intermediate School serves 5th and 6th grades in Florence, Alabama.

Hibbett serves 600 students and each grade level is composed of three separate teams. While the school is considered large by most, the individualized team approach makes Hibbett unique in that it is like having six small schools within a school.

Ending the school year by celebrating some of the very best ⭐✏️ Our final Star Students of the year have worked hard, shown kindness to others, and continued to grow both academically and personally all year long. We are so proud of the progress these students have made and the example they set for those around them. From sidewalk chalk masterpieces and volleyball games to sweet treats, laughter, and tropical fun… our end-of-the-year celebrations were full of smiles and memories! 🌺☀️

What an amazing way to wrap up a wonderful school year. We are so proud of our students and all they accomplished this year. Thank you to our teachers, staff, and families for helping make these moments so special. Now it’s time for a safe, fun, and well-deserved summer break! 💙

What a fun way to wrap up the school year! Today we hosted our Parent vs. Teacher Volleyball Game, and the gym was full of laughs, cheers, friendly competition, and school spirit! 💙🏐

Thank you to all of our parents, teachers, and students who came out to support and participate. Moments like these remind us how special our school family truly is. We loved spending time together and making memories that will last long after the final bell rings! 🎉

As another school year comes to a close, we’re reminded that the greatest lessons aren’t always found in textbooks. They’re found in the teachers who encourage, comfort, celebrate, support, and believe in our students every single day. 💛

This little “Give this to the teacher who…” activity turned into such a beautiful reminder of the impact our staff makes — the small moments our students notice, remember, and carry with them long after the school year ends.

🏆 Reminder: Hibbett Elementary Awards Day Ceremonies are tomorrow, Monday, May 18th! We are excited to celebrate the hard work, growth, and accomplishments of all our students throughout the school year. Families are welcome to attend during their child’s grade-level ceremony time listed below.
Please remember that students should dress in their “Sunday Best” for this special occasion. We can’t wait to celebrate our students and all they have achieved this year! 🎉✨
