Leadership Shoals spent the day Tuesday gaining new perspectives through the Community Action Poverty Simulation, learning from local nonprofit leaders, and building connections through speed networking. We hope they left inspired to use their time, talents, and networks to make a difference in a cause they’re passionate about right here in our community.

A special thank you to all of our Poverty Simulation volunteers who shared their time to help us facilitate the simulation, to the non-profits that joined us for speed networking, and to our program sponsors - Helen Keller Hospital, Bank Independent, Member FDIC, Grayson Carter & Son Contracting, Inc., and the University of North Alabama - for helping make this program possible!
