On this Memorial Day, the members of the Florence Township Fire Department honor and remember the brave men and women who made the ultimate sacrifice while serving our country. Their courage, dedication, and selfless service will never be forgotten.

As we gather with family and friends today, we ask our community to take a moment to reflect on the true meaning of Memorial Day and remember those who gave their lives to protect our freedoms.

🚨🌊 TRAINING IN PROGRESS 🌊🚨
May 13th, 2026 members of the Florence Township Fire Department participated in Swiftwater Technician Training to strengthen the skills needed to respond to water rescue emergencies safely and effectively.
This specialized training focused on:
✅ Swiftwater rescue operations
✅ Rope and tether techniques
✅ Victim rescue scenarios
✅ Boat operations and safety
✅ Team coordination in challenging water conditions
Our personnel continuously train to ensure they are prepared to protect and serve our community during floods, severe weather events, and water-related emergencies.
Thank you to all participating members and instructors for their dedication and commitment to operational excellence and public safety.
