All Municipal Offices Closed

Labor Day, Monday, September 7, 2026. Labor Day Observance and Office Closures
On Monday, September 7th all Florence Township Municipal Offices will be Closed. Municipal offices will reopen on Tuesday, September 8th under normal business hours.
\- The Florence Township Recycling Center will be closed on Monday, September 7th and will reopen on Monday, Tuesday, September 8th at 11:00am. Scheduled curbside recycling collection will take place on Tuesday, September 8th
\- Trash Collection on Monday will be collected on Thursday. All other days remain unchanged
The Florence Township Police window will be Closed on Monday, September 7th, and will reopen on Tuesday, September 8th at 8:00am.
\- Overnight Drop Box is accessible 24/7 and is located outside of the front doors of the municipal building at 711 Broad Street.
\- In the event of an emergency, please call 911. If you visit our municipal complex and are in need of officer assistance, please locate our call box located on the wall outside of the front doors of the municipal building at 711 Broad Street. Press the button to be connected to Burlington County Central Dispatch where they may receive your information and will contact an officer or the appropriate party to respond.

Notice to Residents, Businesses and Visitors to Florence Township

We are excited to announce the launch of our new App, My Florence Township. As we continue to look to ways to further communicate with the public, we are among several towns now utilizing App technology to provide timely information for the benefit of our community. Our goal is to provide announcements, alerts, events and other pertinent information that can been viewed at the touch of a button. We also will provide content to assist in some of the most commonly visited areas of our website to be located on the main page of the App screen.

A few helpful tips:

• Once downloaded, Click the App then Click on the 3 lines located in the top left corner. There will be an option to register for notifications. Once completed, the App will send a code to your email, which will need to be entered on the App screen to verify your account.
• Once registered, return to the 3 lines in the top left corner. There you will find an option for “Notifications”. Once clicked, a drop box will offer a variety of categories to consider. You may select ALL to receive Notifications from every category, or you may individually select categories that are of interest. You may change your selections at any time in the future.
• Our App will now begin to provide scheduled notifications to your mobile device. The same App message will appear on our website and social media, thus providing a consistent message for all followers receiving information from our township.

This App will prove to be a great resource, offering a one touch option to reach the payment screen for taxes and water & sewer billing, which is a common request. In the event of a road closure or traffic advisory, our police department now has the ability to provide a notification to alert the public to avoid a problem area. Community Events, Meeting Schedules, and other helpful reminders will now be available on My Florence Township for you to view. We look forward to exploring all of the capabilities of the App, as this resource is an exciting addition for any community to utilize.

Recreation Reminder: Girls on the Run Beginning Fall 2026 in Roebling!

New Program Affiliated with Florence Township Recreation and Florence Township Health & Wellness Initiative - GIRLS ON THE RUN!

We've recently finalized coordination with Girls on the Run New Jersey East to provide an exciting opportunity for our youth in Florence Township.

The Fall offering will begin in mid-September in Roebling. Interested families, please follow the QR Code to sign up, dust off your running shoes and get ready to make new friends, learn from dedicated instructors and HAVE FUN!

The program will be looking for additional coaches, so if anyone is interested in supporting this newly offered wellness initiative, please let us know.

Health & Wellness Program Update

Beginning Wednesday, September 2nd, our Yoga class will be shifting to a day session, which will run from 11am to Noon each week.

This is a free program sponsored by the Recreation Committee's Health & Wellness Initiative.

Recycling Center - Early Closure Today

The Florence Township Recycling Center unexpectedly needed to close at 4pm today. We apologize for the inconvenience.

The center will reopen tomorrow under normal hours from 11am to 5pm.

Notice to All Residents

We are reaching out to our residents, families, and local photographers to take part in building the photo content for the 2027 Florence Township Community Calendar.

Our various departments each year work together to piece together the annual calendar, and many times we receive some of our best photos from residents in the community that are able to capture exciting memories from events and activities that are taking place around town. With several months remaining in 2026, there is time to get creative and take photos of things that may land on some of the pages of the 2027 calendar.

We go to print by mid-November, but in the meantime, skim your archives and send us some good stuff to consider!
