🇺🇸 Remembering September 11, 2001

Today marks the 25th anniversary of the September 11 attacks. We remember the nearly 3,000 lives lost, honor the courage of the first responders who ran toward danger, and recognize the service members who answered our nation’s call in the years that followed.

We also remember the unity, compassion and strength Americans showed one another in the face of unimaginable tragedy.

May we never forget those we lost, those who served, and the families who carry their memories forward.

🚧 Roundabout Repair and Temporary Road Closure, Sept. 10–12

As part of an Arizona Department of Transportation (ADOT) project, crews will be repairing the curb and gutter near the southern roundabout east of SR 287. This work will require the closure of northbound SR 79B at the Saguaro Gardens Apartments driveway. Here’s what to expect:

Closure: Thursday, Sept. 10 at 9 p.m. through Saturday, Sept. 12 at 5 a.m.

Road closure and local traffic only signs will be posted at the SR 79B and SR 79 junction. The closure will remain in place while the new concrete cures.

Detour: Travel north on SR 79, east on Butte Avenue, south on Main Street, and back to SR 287.

Please allow extra travel time and use caution near the work area.
