One Stop Shop/Business Development Florence Alabama The Business Development Office assists businesses during their development process and recruits new businesses to the City of Florence.

This is the official page of the City of Florence One Stop Shop/Business Development. This office provides businesses valuable information and one point of contact for information and business assistance while receiving their city services during their development process such as business license, building permits, utilities, etc. The number one goal of the Business Development Office is

to make our business process as smooth and predictable as possible. This is just another step in the City of Florence's continuing effort to be more proactive and effectively communicate with businesses within community.

Turbo got its start right here in Downtown Florence! We are proud to see a hometown business grow and thrive. Businesses like Turbo help showcase the entrepreneurial spirit that makes our community special.

📍 Stop by, support local, and experience the place where it all began!

Since early 2025, Turbo Coffee has been owned and operated by Jerica and Scott Whittle, who run all four locations and their three Miami Ice shaved ice shops in North Alabama alongside their adult children.

The cafe Reese Shirey founded in Florence and expanded to Tuscaloosa and elsewhere is still what he started, though — a family-owned space built around unique, seasonal drinks and the fresh, house-made food to go with them.
