Tonight the Lauderdale County Association of Volunteer Fire Departments celebrated a great year. It was an honor to be part. UPVFD was also recognized several times during the ceremony for outstanding members.

Blake Bendall was recognized as the rookie of the year.

Bradley Maxwell was awarded the EMT start of life.

Steve McEachron was given the president's award.

Joe Maxwell was presented the Legacy Award for over 35 years of active service in a department, by his friend and fellow firefighter Tony Eckl.

What a great honor to work alongside these guys and the other members of this department, all part of the LCAVFD!

Today we brought in a crew from Industrial Inspection & Analysis Fire Equpment Testing Division for our annual ISO hose testing.

This was our first time working with them so we didn’t know what to expect. Talk about a suprise, and I mean the good kind. These guys rolled in with three trucks, a purpose built trailer, and 11 guys and tested all 8,000+ feet of hose in less than 3 1/2 hours… and apologized for it taking so long! The best we had ever accomplished before that was 8-9 hours.

So if you find yourself needing some good quality testing (they also do our ladders annually) at a really competitive price, give these folks a call.
