🌊🐠 Under the Sea Prom was a splash-tastic success today at the center! 🐚✨

We had an amazing time dancing the day away with friends, sharing lots of smiles and laughter, and making wonderful memories together. 💙🎶

A big congratulations to our Prom King and Queen! 👑🌟 We loved celebrating this special moment and cheering them on as they received their crowns.

Thank you to everyone who joined us and helped make our Under the Sea Prom such a fun and unforgettable event. Until next time, keep swimming and keep dancing! 🐬🩵

It has been a while since we have posted updates! Lot's going on inside, so it was difficult to update.
We are getting close to the construction project being completed. Before we are able to use the new indoor areas, we will need to have a final inspection from the state. However, we are using the updated outdoor areas and we are getting our large patio fixed up with some new furniture and new garden boxes.
I cannot thank all the individuals, staff and family members for your ongoing patience.
We are going to have one heck of a open house party!!

THE SCHEBEN CARE CENTER SHOWS ITS COMMITMENT TO DIRECT SUPPORT PROFESSIONALS THROUGH 2026 NADSP MEMBERSHIP, THE FIRST FACILITY IN THE STATE OF KENTUCKY!

The Scheben Care Center is now a member organization of the National Alliance for Direct Support Professionals (NADSP). This designation demonstrates a deep commitment to direct support professionals (DSPs), other staff members, people receiving services, families, and various stakeholders.
“Our greatest asset is our staff,” says Julianna Trimbur, RN, Program Director. “We are proud to be the first organization in the state of Kentucky to join NADSP.”
By becoming a member, The Bill and Betsy Scheben Care Center aligns with NADSP’s mission: “to elevate the status of direct support professionals by improving practice standards, promoting system reform, and advancing their knowledge, skills, and values.” The membership spans the entire calendar year of 2026.
“Through this membership, The Bill and Betsy Scheben Care Center is sending a clear message that they appreciate support staff, recognize the critical role they play, and are willing to invest in their growth and advancement,” says Joseph Macbeth, President and Chief Executive Officer of NADSP.
There are numerous benefits included in NADSP Membership. The Bill and Betsy Scheben Care Center can view dozens of webinars and access numerous resources about topics to improve supports and services. Members also receive discounted rates for the NADSP E-Badge Academy, NADSP Training, NADSP Curricula, and NADSP Conference registration. In addition, the Center will be featured on NADSP’s website, highlighting their involvement in a national movement dedicated to direct support professionals.
“This is a true partnership, and we appreciate the association joining us in making a world of difference in people’s lives,” adds Macbeth.
