This week, we honor the courage, sacrifice, and unwavering dedication of law enforcement officers.

Established by President John F. Kennedy in 1962, National Police Week includes Peace Officers Memorial Day on May 15 and a week of observances recognizing those who have given their lives in the line of duty, as well as those who continue to serve and protect our communities with steadfast commitment and bravery.

Every alarm answered, every life saved, every sacrifice made reminds us that true heroism wears turnout gear and carries compassion on every call. These men and women train tirelessly, leave family dinners behind, and rush into danger to keep their neighbors safe. Their commitment reminds us that true service isn’t measured in paychecks, but in heart.
