🚨 HIGH SPEED CHASE / STOLEN ESCALADE
📍 Sky Park Rd, Florence, AL

A reported stolen Cadillac Escalade led Lauderdale County Deputies & Florence PD officers on a high-speed pursuit after the vehicle was located within the city. Per radio traffic, the initial report came in by an associate of the vehicle owner. Officers made numerous attempts to bring the pursuit to an end by deploying spike strips; however, the effort was unsuccessful with the spikes and the vehicle continued fleeing onto Cox Creek.

Emergency crews responding to Dover Avenue in Sheffield following reports that a child had been struck by a vehicle. Initial dispatch traffic indicated the child may have suffered injuries and was still partially in the roadway. Sheffield Fire, EMS, and law enforcement units were dispatched to the scene.

The extent of injuries and circumstances surrounding the incident have not been officially confirmed at this time.

Emergency fire and medical units were dispatched to a serious vehicle crash with injuries. Initial dispatch traffic indicated a possible cardiac arrest involving one of the occupants. On-scene emergency responders have requested Air-Evac to the scene and are setting up a landing zone at Underwood-Petersville Fire Dept.

The extent of injuries and the condition of those involved have not been confirmed at this time.

📍 In area of Clearview Drive, Sheffield

Emergency crews were dispatched to the Tennessee River in the area of Clearview Drive in Sheffield after reports of a watercraft in distress. Initial radio traffic indicated a jet ski had overturned with a possible unresponsive person involved. Fire, rescue, and marine units were requested to respond. First responders attempting to determine the exact location of the watercraft.

The condition of the individual involved has not been confirmed at this time.

📍 North Wood Avenue, Florence

Multiple Florence Fire units and emergency personnel were dispatched to a reported structure fire at the McDonald’s on North Wood Avenue after callers reported visible flames and smoke coming from the building.

🚨 WRECK W/ EJECTION & FIRE
📍 US-72 & AL-247
🕝 May 24, 2026 - 8:50 PM

Emergency crews responded to a serious single-vehicle wreck near the intersection of US-72 and AL-247. Per dispatch traffic, the vehicle reportedly struck a power pole, caught fire and ejected the female driver. Officers on-scene stated there were power lines covering the entire roadway.

The driver was described as completely unresponsive with a very weak pulse. Air-Evac was requested. Officers on-scene began CPR while standing-by for medical personnel.

🚨ALLEGED ABDUCTION / PROSTITUTION
📍 Area of 6th St, Leighton

Law enforcement responded to a report of an alleged attempted abduction involving a man driving a white pickup truck on 6th Street.

According to dispatch traffic, the caller stated the male allegedly attempted to solicit her for prostitution in exchange for drugs. The caller also advised there was suspected drug activity in the area and claimed individuals were allegedly “cooking drugs” inside her crawl space. Deputies responded to investigate the complaint. They were unable to locate any vehicle matching the description or any activity that was alleged.

🚨 THREE VEHICLE WRECK ON BRIDGE
📍 O’Neal Bridge, Florence

Emergency crews including Florence Police & Fire responded to a reported three-vehicle crash on O’Neal Bridge. Initial radio traffic indicated multiple confirmed injuries including one adult female complaining of leg pain following the collision. Police, fire, and EMS units responded to the scene to assist those involved.

⚠️Severe traffic delays are expected in the area while crews work the accident. It’s advisable to detour on Patton Island bridge, if possible, while crews clear the scene and traffic regains flow through the construction zone.

📍 Highway 72 & County Road 33
🕝 May 21st, 2026 | 4:15 PM

Multiple fire and medical units, along with Alabama State Troopers, responded to a multi car wreck involving a passenger vehicle and a truck pulling a trailer on Highway 72 near CR-33 just east of Center Star. Radio traffic indicated possible injuries, possible entrapment, and a fire involving the trailer following the collision.
