πŸ”₯ Support Your Local Heroes – Florahome-Grandin Volunteer Fire Department πŸ”₯

The Florahome-Grandin Volunteer Fire Department proudly serves our community with dedication, professionalism, and heart. While Putnam County provides essential operational support, many of the costs required to keep our station open, safe, and functional are not covered β€” and that’s where our community can make a powerful difference.
We are currently raising funds to help cover critical operating expenses, including:

πŸš’ Sunbiz and required state fees
πŸ— Department grounds improvements
πŸ’‘ Station lighting and safety upgrades

These may not sound dramatic, but they directly impact our ability to operate safely, remain compliant with the State of Florida, and maintain a station that our volunteers β€” and our community β€” can rely on.
Every dollar donated goes straight back into supporting your local fire department and the firefighters who stand ready 24/7 to protect lives, homes, and property in Florahome, Grandin, and surrounding areas.

πŸ’™ How You Can Help:
Make a one-time or recurring donation
Share this post to spread the word
Encourage local businesses to support their fire department
Your generosity ensures that when the call comes, we are ready to answer.

Thank you for standing behind your volunteer firefighters.

We hope everyone has a wonderful weekend and enjoys the fall festival.

If attending the festival, please DO NOT PARK AT THE FIRE STATION. This includes parking anywhere on Ohio or Magnolia in the front of or on the side of the station. Parking in any of these locations will inhibit the ability to get the fire trucks in and out for calls.

VIOLTERS WILL BE TOWED AT THE OWNERS EXPENSE

Thank you for your cooperation. We hope everyone has a fun and safe weekend!

As of 1 am Coral Farms road at Haast Rd is shut down due to downed powerlines and power pole. Clay Electric is aware and they are working diligently to restore outages across their service district. Please be patient with them as they restore power. Also, seek an alternate route for anything north of Haast Rd.

We should start feeling the impacts of Hurricane Helene later this afternoon. Please stay safe and off the roadways as much as possible during the storm. Station 14 has crews manning the station in partnership with Putnam County Fire Rescue. Crews will be out before, during and after the storm as long as ground speed winds allow for safety of personnel. Remember that downed trees may have powerlines down with them and you should not approach the area of a downed tree on the roadway. The fire department will NOT remove trees from personal property that is the responsibility of the property owner. If you need further information regarding the storm, shelter, or recovery efforts please contact the Putnam County Emergency Operations Center at 386-329-1904.
