Alliance Dairy field trip in Trenton, Florida!

Our students were able to take what they learned in the classroom and see it in action!

Alliance Dairy is the largest dairy farm in Florida with over 10,000 acres of land. They operate with 10,000 head of cattle and they milk over 8,300 of them 3 times a day! That is over 700,000 pounds of fluid milk per day! The milk is then processed and on the shelf in our grocery stores within 24-48 hours!

What is really cool is the operations on the farm is completely sustainable and environmentally friendly! Using solar energy for their electricity, using recycled water for watering crops and washing down barns, and also using the methane produced by the manure to create a clean reusable gas in pipelines for electricity as well.

It's so impressive to see how hard our Florida farmers work to be environmental stewards of the land while also feeding our nation!

We have A LOT going on in Ag class at Q.I.!

Animal Science students are in their Vet Management Unit. Today they learned how to give different types of injections using bananas and oranges!

Ag Fundamentals/Foundations students are learning plant & flower anatomy! Students also fertilized and watered their garden! We even got to harvest the Cherry Belle Radishes today!

We love what we do! Growing a love and passion for agriculture!
