Have you ever wondered what the fire department fundraisers did with the money raised? Well, they go towards many things, but here’s a big one. We have recently been able purchase 4 new thermal imaging cameras with the help from a trade-in program. These cameras are a big step up from our previous cameras. Not only are they smaller and lighter, they have better sensors and screens. They also have different viewing modes as well as the ability to take pictures and video. The picture posted is a progression of cameras and improvements in technology and a couple that we traded in. The big yellow one was the departments very first camera and was the first in the county. It served until its replacement of the black one which we have used for approximately 20 years. Thanks to your support we are grateful to be able to purchase these new cameras to help better serve our community.

As a reminder Flora Volunteer Fire Department will have a crew on station during the outage to expedite responses to possible emergencies.

The Flora Senior Center on Division Street will be open to those in need of power for breathing treatments and a potential warm up. The senior center is the emergency shelter in town for the outage.
