The City of Floodwood invites residents, property owners, business owners, and community members to attend the upcoming Housing Study Community Presentation on Tuesday, June 9, 2026, at 6:00 PM at Floodwood City Hall.

This presentation will highlight key findings from the City’s housing study, including:
• Current housing needs and trends
• Market gaps and development opportunities
• Community feedback gathered throughout the process
• Recommendations to help guide future housing efforts in Floodwood

Housing plays an important role in the future growth and vitality of our community, and we encourage everyone to attend, learn more, and be part of the conversation.

We were thrilled to host this awesome group of upcoming Twin Cities high school graduates as they celebrated together and enjoyed the great outdoors. From hammock towers to campground memories, it looks like they made the most of their stay!

🎣 The Fishing Pier is Back In! 🌊

The City of Floodwood is excited to announce that the fishing pier on the St. Louis River has recently been reinstalled for the season at the Floodwood Municipal Campground!

Whether you’re looking to cast a line, enjoy the peaceful river views, or simply relax by the water, this is a great place to spend some time outdoors. The pier is accessible and open to residents, campers, and visitors alike.

We invite everyone to stop out and enjoy one of Floodwood’s great recreational amenities this summer!

The City of Floodwood and the Floodwood Police Department would like to recognize and thank Floodwood School, organizers, volunteers, businesses, emergency responders, and all participants involved in the first-ever Big Rig Night!

The event was very well attended, and it was wonderful to see so many families enjoying the opportunity to explore a wide variety of rigs, ask questions, and learn more about the vehicles and careers that help serve our communities every day.

Thank you to everyone who helped make the event such a great success for our community and youth!

🌟 Another Big Thank You to Floodwood School’s Youth in Action! 🌟

Today, the Floodwood School Youth in Action Group once again stepped up to serve our community with cleanup efforts at Veteran’s Memorial Park and the Floodwood Campground. Their hard work and willingness to volunteer their time helps keep these spaces looking beautiful and welcoming for residents and visitors alike.

This follows another successful cleanup effort they participated in this past fall, and we continue to be incredibly grateful for their dedication, positive attitudes, and community spirit. 💜💛

Floodwood is fortunate to have such outstanding young leaders who are willing to give back and make a difference. Please join us in thanking the Youth in Action students for all of their hard work and service to our community!

Whether it’s Coffee, Pizza, or Burgers with the Mayor, these monthly visits at Riverview Manor are always a highlight.
