Media Release:

On April 4, 2026, at approximately 12:46 a.m., Officers with the Flomaton Police Department responded to a residence on Lender Street within the police jurisdiction of Flomaton in reference to a reported domestic disturbance.

Upon arrival, Officers located an adult male suffering from a stab wound. Emergency Medical Services rendered aid on scene before transporting the victim to a local hospital for further treatment. His current condition is not being released at this time.

Officers secured the scene and initiated an investigation into the circumstances surrounding the incident. At this time, the case remains active, and no arrests have been formally announced.

The Flomaton Police Department had a great time at “Touch a Truck” today! We truly enjoyed spending time with everyone especially all the kids.

We’ll admit… a few of our officers may have had just as much fun as the little ones 🤣🫣

🚨🐰 Easter Bunny Encounter! 🐰🚨

The Flomaton Police Department caught up with the Easter Bunny today while he was trying to hop away to his next adventure!

We had to detain him briefly to remind him just how important it is to make an appearance this Saturday at Flomaton’s “Touch-A-Truck” event. 🚓🚒🚜

No charges were filed, and he has since been released on good behavior… with a promise to show up and bring plenty of Easter cheer! 🐣🌷

Officer Beasley took a moment during routine patrol this morning to check on the ducks out at Hurricane Park. It’s the little things that make a big difference while staying connected with our community and looking out for all who call it home!

The Flomaton Police Department conducted routine traffic stop conducted by officers that resulted in the arrest of an individual on multiple drug-related charges.

During the stop, officers developed probable cause to conduct a search, which led to the discovery of several controlled substances. The individual was subsequently taken into custody and charged with Five Counts of Possession of a controlled substance of the following:

-Morphine
-Oxycodone
-Hydrocodone
-Suboxone
-Xanax

The suspect Latanya Jones was transported to the Escambia County detention facility without incident.

The Flomaton Police Department emphasizes its continued commitment to proactive policing and traffic enforcement in an effort to keep the community safe. Officers will maintain a visible presence and remain vigilant in identifying criminal activity during routine patrols.

All individuals are presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.

Big shoutout to Sheriff Heath Jackson, Madison County Sheriff Kevin Turner, and Huntsville Police Chief Kirk Giles for their help in getting AJ’s swords back to him. It’s always a great thing when members of the community come together to help someone out.

To some, the swords might not mean much but to AJ, they carry a lot of meaning. Moments like this are a reminder that when people work together, good things happen. We truly appreciate the teamwork and support that made this possible. 🙌⚔️

Update: Sheriff Heath Jackson has made contact with Madison County Sheriff to get his property back.

Concerned citizens, Colby Salter is currently en route to pick up AJ, and we are in communication with authorities in Huntsville to have his property released.

It’s great to see our community come together to help one of our citizens in a time of need. We appreciate everyone who has reached out and offered assistance.

We will provide another update once AJ has been picked up.
