The following attached is the Resignation presented to the Town of Flomaton by myself.

I would like to thank every citizen of this Town for the ultimate opportunity to serve you. I grew up in this Town and being able to serve close friends and elders that I grew up with was truly amazing. I am blessed for the amazing Law Enforcement Experience that I gained through this journey as your Chief of Police.

I am incredibly thankful to the good Lord for his guidance throughout my career, and what he holds for me in my future endeavors.

I am very thankful for this opportunity given by the Town of Flomaton Council, and the Mayor. I pray for the Officer who is appointed your Chief, and that he will serve you with the same heart that I did.

Your Chief,

Chance

On Saturday, August 13th, 2022, the Flomaton Police Department came in contact with a vehicle that was traveling through a Check Point that was located at Old Atmore Rd and Tulip St.

The investigation further into the incident found that the driver, Fenetrias Lewis, was believed to be under the influence of Alcohol.
Also, further investigation found that Lewis was in possession of Ecstasy, and Ma*****na. The item thrown from the vehicle was an over 7-gram baggie of a white powdery substance field tested positive to be Co***ne.

Lewis was charged with the following charges:

The FPDJA Graduation ceremony this past Friday concluded one of the best experiences I have been a part of in my Law Enforcement career. It was very odd walking into our Police Department today and not hearing the laughter of 40-plus children.

Thank you to all the sponsors who made this program possible, and thank you to all who attended these cadets' graduation at the Flomaton High School. Our department appreciated this program just as much as the kids.

Congratulations to the cadets who received special awards.

Jonah Haskew- Class President
Bear Brown - Flag Bearer/Pledge Leader
Luke Brown - Top Gun/Dart Award

Our FPD Junior Academy came to a close this past Friday.

We want to especially thank the Alabama Conservation Enforcement Officer Association for donating funds to provide every single attendee a Zebco Fishing Police.

Every child was able to take their own fishing pole home to keep.

The donation was enough to purchase the children's poles, and also the tackle needed to allow them to fish.

Alabama Conservation Officers also attended that day and spoke to the cadets regarding their duties. They also attended our fishing trip and helped bait hooks.

I am very appreciative of the Association for their assistance. This part of the Academy could not have been completed without their help.
