Your family is invited by Rocky Gap State Park to participate in a
special event for outdoor fun and learning how you and your younger ones can rewild your yard! This program is geared towards families looking to connect to the nature in their own yards.

The program will be led by Jack Slocomb, volunteer naturalist at
Rocky Gap.

This program will provide your family with
opportunity and knowledge to restore native plants and landscapes at your own home and will include your own native plant to take home, as well as some educational resources.

It’s time for our favorite party of the year- Vulture Day!! We can’t wait to see everyone on Saturday as we celebrate these nature superheroes! Please note the program times on the flyer- join us for activities from 1-3 p.m. Selma will be out and about for her Meet and Greet at 2 p.m. Please do not bring dogs to this program, for the comfort and safety of our birds!

Brighten your week with a visit to the Sunflower Field! The field at Rocky Gap is currently in peak bloom- come enjoy the beauty!

The field is located across from the White Pine boat launch area.

Please remember that no picking of the flower is permitted and be mindful of the electric fence that keeps these beneficial blooms safe and intact!

Join us for one of our very favorite programs of the year this Saturday for Night Sounds! This interactive, educational and FUN program is great for all ages- you'll learn a lot and have some laughs!

We also have some very special programs in the coming weeks- come see the wonder of Night Sounds on August 22nd at 7 p.m. in our campground to learn all about the creatures who go bump in the night. This highly entertaining and interactive program is wonderful for all ages. Celebrate International Vulture Day with us on September 5th! There will be games, fun, and of course, time meeting our wonderful ambassador vulture, Selma as we celebrate just how important vultures are in our world!

Explore new movement and strengthen coordination!

Healthy Parks, Healthy People is teaming up with Rhythm Hoop Dance to offer FREE hula hoop HIIT workouts at Rocky Gap State Park!

This fun cardio workout will focus on waist hooping with added arm and leg movements in short, fast intervals. All skill levels are welcome. Hula hoops of various sizes will be provided; large hoops are easiest for beginners.

Meet in the West Beach day use area.
