❄️Warming Center Alert❄️

As continued colder temperatures are expected for our area, the City of Flint will again open its Senior Centers as warming centers for all residents on Thursday, January 22 and Friday, January 23.

Anyone who is without adequate heating can come to either location during the hours listed below. As before, bottled water and coffee will be provided at both locations.

The City of Flint leadership deserves a shout out for their role in facilitating this initiative!!! 🙂 See flyer below.

This initiative is particularly noteworthy given the anticipated drop in temperatures to extremely low levels. Friday's forecast indicates hazardous temperatures, and we urge you to check on your neighbors, friends, and pets.

Warming Center Alert:
The City of Flint will reopen its Senior Centers as warming centers for all residents on Thursday, January 22, and Friday, January 23. Those without adequate heating are invited to visit either location during the designated hours. Bottled water and coffee will be available at both locations.

If you encounter anyone in the downtown area who is in danger due to the freezing temperatures as we move into Friday, don't hesitate to get in touch with the Department of Public Safety. If temperatures drop to 20° it only takes 30 minutes for someone to have frostbite.
