Her dedication extends beyond her work as an employee to her role as a foster for Genesee County Animal Care, where she is currently caring for Meeko, a dog with visual impairments. Jessi is Meeko’s staff mentor, which means she created a specific care plan to best suit Meeko’s needs while at GCAC. Jessi gave me plenty of advice, told me how to help him decompress and help him transition into a home setting from being at Animal Care for over two months.

It didn’t matter the type of question or the time of day, Jessi always made me feel heard and would respond in a supportive and positive way. I believe she is invaluable to GCAC and her contributions beyond my words are endless.

She is a perfect example of someone who lives out excellence, trust, integrity and compassion every day.”
