Genesee County Treasurer The Genesee County Treasurer’s Office functions as the County’s bank.

The Genesee County Treasurer serves as the County’s banker and Investment Officer whose primary responsibility is to safeguard public funds as well as collect and account for the revenue used to operate programs for residents. The Treasurer receives annual revenue from deposits totaling $494 million from other County departments, various local, state and federal agencies and delinquent taxes. In a

ddition to serving as the County’s bank, the Treasurer’s Office spearheads the Genesee County dog licensing and delinquent property tax programs, and serves as Chairperson to the Land Bank Authority.

Th Genesee County Treasurer’s office will be closed on Friday, April 3, 2026 for the Good Friday holiday.

County Offices and Departments will be closed Friday, April 3, in observance of Good Friday.

Do you have delinquent 2023 or prior taxes due? The last day to pay to avoid foreclose MARCH 31, 2026. Our office will be open from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. the week of March 23rd to March 27th as well as March 30th and 31st.

We will not open until 12:00 noon on Wednesday, April 1st for software updates. We will resume regular hours on Thursday, April 2nd. We will also be closed on Friday, April 3rd for Good Friday.

When visiting the Treasurer’s office, please make sure to use designated street parking: the Riverfront parking ramp, the Rutherford parking ramp or the flat lot. The area in front of the UM-Flint pavilion on Saginaw Street is a “no parking” area and you will be cited if you are parked there.
